edit, edit/runes: make resetting of logs disk-free and error-free.

Clearing logs used call runes.Buffer.Delete, which hits can hit disk to flush the cache. But, since we are deleting everything, there is no need to hit disk. We can simply free all of the blocks and reset the size to zero.
