More category string work.

+ Moved loop iteration logic for generating category strings from gui.py to utils.py
+ Determined that the recursive build_category_strings function required a different data structure
  + moved it back to generate_category_strings.py
  + it requires having a root item with parent = 0, which my db does not have.
+ renamed build_category_strings to build_cat_strings and build_category_string to build_cat_string
+ Added moneyfmt unittests
+ removed some commented-out code from utils.py
