Add as much IDE autocompletion as is supported via both require/import

Mostly, this requires only using 'import' for types, removing '@extends' in the class, adding 'module.exports.default' to support ES imports for the user, and adding 'webpack' types to the tsconfig. The rest of the changes are minor comments that need to be improved
