Adding the option to do performance profiling with flame graphs.

The makefile now supports compilation with the PROFILE option. These
are compilation flags that leave enough information in the object code
to allow figuring out stack traces. The applet has a new flag
"enable_perf" that installs profiling tools, and returns profiling
data in its output.
