remove yarl dep

pip is, as usual, broken, so adding deps to extras when there may also
be constraintes needed downstream is a nonstarter at the moment

all tests pass with my changes, so I assume this is fixed, 10 lines for
a dependency is about a 1000 fold reduction in complexity, if not more,
also much faster to fix this than to try to fix the brokeness of pip

if there are edge cases that are not met by this fix, then add some
examples of apis, or host, scheme pairs that fail and we will fix them
