Syntax tree balancing demos and symbolic enumeration (standalone and main API) (#83)

* Add client/ast-only design enumeration demo.
* Add operator balancing demo.
* Support string and object for categories; improve error message. Without this check, the user can get an unexpected and confusing parsing error in some environments.
* Add symbolic enumeration demo and to main API.
* Update README and dependencies.
