Fix incompatibility with old versions of tqdm and unknown download size

When the size of a download target could not be determined, an error would occur if an old version of tqdm was installed due to the ``total`` parameter being unable to accept floats (like ``np.inf``). Using ``None`` instead works for new and old versions of tqdm.
