kernel: cleanup zlib/gzip logic in SyFopen

We don't need the `cmd` string anymore, so don't create it. Also explicitly
check for overflows of namegz and handle them by resetting namegz, instead of
doing nothing (as we did in release builds so far) or aborting (as we did in
debug builds).
