Strip redundant leading slash on Windows (#8)

This is necessary on Windows, because there QDir::cleanPath incorrectly
allows paths to begin with '//' to allow for Window UNC paths that
begin with '\\' (and all processing is done inside cleanPath with the
OS separators first replaced with '/').

This resolves the unit test failures on Windows (#8) - all unit tests
now pass successfully :D
