Deprecate `read(T, obj, key, def)` in favor of `get(T, obj, key, def)`

The semantics is more clear and is similar whatever the type of the object
`obj`:

- If `key` is found, return is value, possibly converted to type `T` if
  specified (if conversion is not possible an error is thrown).

- If `key` is not found, return `def` (unchanged) if specified, throw a
  `KeyError` exception otherwise.
