Replace array copying and local var with _index prop tracking (-1 B)

It's important to not modify the oldChildren array while diffing so that
getDomSibling can use the oldChildren array to determine what the next
sibling is. Only modify oldChildren while diffing if the intention is to
hide an element from getDomSibling
