But, Parsoid/PHP implicitly implemented header checking by using the core REST API's header checking code (checkPreconditions). This exposed a number of bugs which caused VE-without-RESTBase saves to return HTTP 412. See T238849 for details. * For now, we are mimicking Parsoid/JS by disabling header checks.
