Fix for issue #129

Added unicode exception check on files in the namd plugin. In python 3.x
velocity and coordinate input files seem to cause the exception. I don't
think these really are ever edited by the user and are unlikely to
contain references to other files.

Tests have been added and the version number changed to 1.5.3-dev.
