storyboard.py: remove import side effects

Previously there's an import side effect: Font() is called, and the
import will fail if Pillow is not compiled against freetype, which is
often the case on RTD. Now we have removed this side effect by dropping
Font() everywhere, which is a tiny bit less efficient.
