implemented `eval` function, closes #99

The eval function simply takes a string and tries to interpret it
as part of the current script (inheriting variables etc, so there is
no isolation for now). Most of the code has been re-used from `source`,
and we might want to look into unifying the two at some point --
but for now YAGNI...
