refactor(api): separate callback API from promise API (#142)

Closes #131 

BREAKING CHANGE: The callback API now uses a dedicated method: `sendCallback`. To migrate, simply rename all instances of `send` which use a callback to `sendCallback`.

BREAKING CHANGE: The `connect` method no longer accepts a callback. Use the promise it returns instead.
