sort-by option

Why:

 * when introducing history querying for mutiple items its not
   great you could not sort by changed date.

This change addreses the need by:

 * Add --sort-by=<jsonpath> option to allow to state which property
   in items output should optionally sorted by.
 * Fix some new typing bugs found.
