Use longitude from metadata when computing solar day

- rather than recomputing dataset extents in Lon/Lat read longitude directly
  from metadata.
- allow specifying longitude as an optional parameter, can be useful when
  working around dateline regions.
- detect missing spatial info and raise exception instead of failing with
  attributes access error
