* improve readability, change logarthmic to logarithmic

* significant test cleanup, now testing 2D patterns

* fix dep warning, add optimal IB test

* remove hdf5 from test require, use tighter cbc tols due to test failure

* use gurobi for exhaustive tests

* comment out unused code

* uncomment patterns

* helpful error message for patterns
