topology type from &#39;Single&#39; to &#39;Unknown&#39;. That was a breaking change as
direct connections to replica set members would no longer stay direct
connections.

This commit introduces a new default topology type &#39;Direct&#39;, which only
resolves to Single or Sharded.  It also fixes detection of topology
support to allow sessions with directly connected replica set members.
