Use prospector tool for static-analysis of code

This also fixes several bugs along the way, especially
a formatting error in wcwidth-browser.py that caused
unicode points under 0x10000 to be mis-aligned, and
greatly increased the speed of scrolling and resizing
by using a single list instead of a complex hashtable.
