Major changes following review.

This removes the use of model permissions for cleaner code.
A User can't modify other user's participations but can see them.
Here is what a user can do with Participations:
GET: Get all existing Participations (with filter)
PUT: Update his own Participations ONLY
PATCH: Partially update his own Participations ONLY
POST: Create a Participation for himself ONLY
DELETE: Delete his own Participations ONLY
