chore(Updating Travis Node runtime to Node 8.x as well as package.json node engine version.): Update

Updating Node version across Travis configuration as well as the package configuration. I've also
updated NPM to ~5.5 for package.json. There were a few build-related quirks such as prepublish
becoming prepare (Around NPM 5) and `npm cache clean` no longer being allowed without the `--force`
command.

Beware that this is a Node and NPM version update. Installing this package as a dependency should be
tested out first before you push your product to master.
