tests: fix problem with test app configuration

* Before, configuration was not being updated when a new fixture
  was requested, so the `db` `path` was pointing to a non existing
  `db` file. Adds tests to make sure the fix works.

* Drops usage of Python `tempfile` in favor or `pytest` fixture
  `tempdir_factory`.

* Drops the usage of the deprecated decorator `yield_fixture` and
  upgrades minimun version of `pytest` to `3.0.0` so `fixture`
  behaves like the old `yield_fixture`.

* Modifies `factory.py` to add the possibility to configure through
  mappings (dictionaries) for ease of testing.
