v0.018002: reorder; my theory is that $v <<= n will overflow iv to 0 rather than upgrading to nv; unfortunately, my 32bit perl still has ivsize=8 (64bit), so I cannot test or confirm; also, I dont know where all it might be happening.  I hope I have enough peeks to determine; will be doing a non-signed release
