Workaround a problem with multiple paths in GOPATH

GOPATH can contain multiple:colon:separated:paths. The colon confuses
make and it thinks there are multiple targets. Avoid this problem by
using only the first path if there are many. This will cause redundant
go gets in some cases, but that's OK for now.
