WIP #51 Remove range of the variable definition

Originally, the code was written such that the entire string of
$variable_name or ${variable_name} would be highlighted. However, as
it will become necessary to support and parse variable modifiers such
as ${variable:-word} and ${variable:+word}, highlighting the entire
variable does not seem to make much sense if variable modifiers are
present. The new code will now only highlight the name of the
variable and not the variable definition characters such as $, {, and
}.
