Commit Message

Provide for ap-controllable pickling of immutables.

This provides a convenient way to persist immutable types that do not yet
have tailored support, in a future compatible way: if support is added,
and an ap modifies a pool that has pickles of that type, the old pickled
objects will be loaded but new instances of that type will be persisted
in the new format.
