Avoid rewriting jar file in specs

Apparently, java.util.zip does not handle reading from a zip file after
it has been rewritten. See:

This creates the jar files in different temporary directories, to avoid
reusing the same jar file name more than once. As an extra precaution,
the packaged file is copied before it is unpacked.
